ok, so ive done everything successfully, but i when i boot the ipod, theres no cydia. any ideas? i tried rebuilding my custom ipsw with pwnage multiple times also to include addition applications, but none of them show up on my springboard. the ipods definitely been jailbroke because it will not boot without completing through step 11.

What I love about this is that there's no 'easy, out-of-the-box' way to do it. I still remember when cracking an app had more to do than clicking some buttons or typing a serial.

As the Dev Team said they would not release the tethered version unless they had exhausted all other possibilities, my guess is this is it.

People complained when they wouldn't release the tethered version - now they complain that they have.

I dont have an iPod Touch 2G, but for the people with it on windows, you guys do know you can use iRecovery to send the files while in DFU mode...

Yes and no at the same time. Back in the day, it was complicated, but this process is tedious because the computer has to always be present.
