Steve has announced the new in-ear earphones by apple!

These seem to full of excellent technology + art and is meant for true music lovers! Each earpiece consists of two drivers, a woofer and a tweeter. These come with three different earbuds with silicone eartips with different comfort levels!

They also come with built-in microphone, volume controls (not present in the iPhone earphones) and iPod controls like the earphones for the iPhone! These earphones only support the New iPod Touch, New iPod Nano and new iPod Classic.

Why would you want/care about the built in mic if it doesn't work with the iphone? Nonetheless they look pretty cool.

Why would you need a mic when using the iPod?

Didn't I read that they added recording capabilities? Hence the mic.

you can switch the songs through there like on the iPhone i'm pretty sure itouch owners would love that because it must be a pain having to pull it out everytime. The mic is useless but the clicking thing on it isn't.

Apple's headphones are ****!
The drivers get messed up easily if you pump any bass-heavy music through it..
It just looks fancy. Sennheiser ears PWN em :P

they should have a compatible version in my opinion. Makes no sense what so ever to have it compatible with the touch. Just my opinion.

I am sure they will make some to support the iPhone... they are most likely making these as a test run to see how well they sell. I would pick sennheisers or shures over these for this price (I am guessing they are not as good)
