New iPod Touch!
The new iPod Touch has been announced!

There's not much difference, the same wi-fi, same screen and accelerometer.
So what's new?
It now has volume controls on the side with an iPhone 3G like curved form factor (makes it much thinner). It also has the genius playlist (can be accesed by clicking an atom icon in the now playing menu) creation option and best of all is the Nike+ support and the receiver built-in! Another wild thing is the new built-in speaker!

The battery life has been dramatically improved too! You can now hear 36 hours of music or watch 6 hours of video!
The new price is surely a big deal. The 8GB is for 229$, 16GB for $299 and 32GB for $399.

I think I'll get it. Didn't expect a new iPod Touch, and I don't want an iPhone 3G

WTF! Still no GPS. If both the tough and iPhone had GPS it would be a lot more likely that we would finally get TomTom-like software, but if only the iPhone users have GPS that is a much smaller install base that it would be targeting. Sigh.

its looks amazing
but i bet these ipod touches will bring another problem to jailbreaking them.
i know it..
and in my opinion
in a few firmware updates they should include the nike + support sooner or later.

um your kinda stupid,
First, All of tomtom would clog up your touch so the would have to load it from a server on the web like maps app, this wouldnt work because it needs wifi and ipod dont have 3g, most people dont have wifi in their cars.
Second, The sdk prevents to make nav apps, so you need maps app which needs the net, wifi, and if you got wifi your probably at home or at a public place so you dont need gps to find ur way.

The new iPod Touch is going to look sicc with the Echo screen. It would look like it came straight from the Flight of the Navigator movie. A mirror finish all the way around.

Dammit Steve! These cats are gonna have me broke forever. The biggest selling point for me would be the speaker. I always wished my touch had one. That was actually the only complaint I had about the device. Don't think I'd like the new case design the original is easier to stand on its side than the iphone.
I would have my URL here so you could hear our music but apparently that's sig spam. WTF?
