Speed Difference in Nano(es)?

i have 2 1.1.3 ipod nanoes, a 4gb and an 8gb (won the 8g off the radio...woohoo).
Anyways, i did a test just for fun, loaded the exact same songs and playlists on both, about 2 gig worth, and noticed that the 8g was actually faster than the 4gb. Now i'm not talking about 10 seconds faster, but there was surely a loading difference between the 2 ipods. I even restored them and did it again, same thing.
Not sure if this means anything, just something weird I noticed and wondered if anyone could explain?
