11-07-2012, 07:14 PM #1HELP! I have the whites screen of death!
First, I am not sure if this is in the right place if so tell me. Now I dropped my iPod touch and now the screen is white. I cant turn it off by holding home and power button. I think it is a problem with a cable that got knocked out when I dropped it because when I hold the home button I hear siri and I can talk to her. Also the screen turns off after about 10 seconds as if it was on the lockscreen. I could get it fixed at a store if i wanted to but I kinda want to try to fix it myself. Does anyone have andy thoughts on what the problem could be and would disassembling my iPod be too hard for me? I have never taken apart anything before and I am afraid I would break my iPod even more, anyone got any precautions for me also keep in mind I am only 12 so I am not experienced with this stuff.

Have you tried doing a hard reboot? [holding Power/Sleep and home buttons done together till it reboots] or a restore in iTunes?
Hard to say if it's hardware or software till you try these methods.
