Help! iPod Touch 1st gen 3.1.3 Siphon Mic?

I Don't know if this is the right place to post but here it is.
I have had my iTouch 1G for a while now and just recently Jailbroke it with the hope that i could make voip calls with on it Siphon, but im on 3.1.3 and i've heard that ivoice 3 and other doc mic's don't work on itunes apps(like fring and skype) 3.1 and later.
Does this apply to jailbroken apps like Siphon too?
I found ivoice 3 on ebay, The Problem is I don't want to buy something if i don't know if it will work or not.
I can't find any information on this so i hope someone will respond.

EDIT:I Got a Belkin tune-talk from Here and it works with app store apps even on 3.1.3. Note: dose not work with voip apps because it blocks the earphones port.
