Your talkin to a cat that started using unix before I ever touched windows or mac. You couldnt fathom the stuff you can do with Linux ask any real Linux user. I dont have to pay a dime for my application. All I have to do is contribute to the community I have done my share and still do. Thanks I'll prove you wrong I'll make a Linux only adobe photoshop clone. I do everthing from Linux web development, computer programming, and surf the web with comfort knowing that I can go anywhere at once too. Without using all my memory and slowing down my computer. Like windows and mac does. But I won't knock mac to much cause mac OS is sorts going to the unix side of things. But you wasted enough of my time your a emo anyways

I have been using linux for about four years now off and on, but as a true photographer I can't use linux because Gimp is totally worthless without Adobe RGB, and the only other program worth using bibble has a much worse interface than lightroom. I have never had any luck getting wine to run lightroom because its just not compatible. Vmware server doesn't work nicely with my amd64 athlon 6700+ so I am out of luck there. Anything I am overlooking? IMO I can't do much with linux unless I have an dual processor. Also my Geforce card gave me a hell of a time with Xen because I can't update in SUSE without making XEN unusable and even then it wanted a dual core processor also.
That being said I love linux, but it just doesn't work for what I need on a daily basis.
