I have used the tools as directed and have even had a co-work that has experience with your software try them on my phone and the software crashed my iphone in the early stages (page 1 of your guide) to the point that the phone will not start and can not be restored with itunes . luckily apple replaced the phone.

Any ideas ?????

PwnageTool was working for me for 2wks.. suddenly today my phone was all hot and wont boot.. starts up then freezes at a Penguin. Now all day I have no phone. STUPID~

My recommendation is stick with what works reliably.. and this does not.

I have followed all instructions and jailbreaked my ipod touch 16 GB. The installer and all apps work fine, but Itunes does not download videos to my ipod any more.
What did I do wrong?

I moight be a bit late with this info, but I too got stuck when asked by IPSW Builder for the two Bootloader files and I couldn't find any answer in this thread other than one that required a download via a torrent. But here is a link to a direct quick download site :-

These are instructions for using the Windows version of iPwner, scroll two thirds of the way down the page to Step 17 and just underneath the graphic is a link to a site from which you can download both Bootloaders. You need both Bootloaders irrespective of whether you choose 3.9 or 4.6 in iPwnage.

My phone works like a dream with iliberty+. Winpwn had a lot of bugs and signal issues. Ziphone had wifi issues. I believe its those payload fixes for signal and wifi in iliberty+ which has my phone running so smoothly.
