that's how i did it the first time, phone worked and everything. i tried it again this time installing bootneuter and then i had no service. did a restore to the original 1.1.4 firmware and i am back to a working phone. i am gonna head to bed and try again in the morning and just watch my steps a little more carefuly. but thank you for the help, i think i just need to read up on it a little better than i have.

It works for me now.

What i did was this:

In Finder choose "Go" in the menu then "Go to folder"
Write: /Volumes/
Delete the Ramdisk
Run Pwnage Tools again.
No problems.

If you want google maps working you should use either pawn or iplus2.0. Ziphone works here and there but those will work with your service as well as locating you using a isp from a router.

Just pwned my 1.1.4 ziphone iphone and its worked great, no problems at all. Just syncing all my contacts and music back as we speak.

Quite an easy process too, although more complex than ziphone for the novice!

Were you able to upgrade the bootloader back to 4.6 or did you just leave it at 3.9? It's good to hear that it worked for you!

I was able to PWN my iPhone yesterday with minimal issues. Was previously on a 1.1.3 devteam Activated/JailBroken/UnLocked iPhone (the Installer download version) but, battery life seemed to be getting shorter and shorter. I was planning to restore anyway to see if it would help with battery life so I used the PwnageTool and unfortunately it failed the first few times. Per other recommendations in this thread, I put the iPhone into recovery mode and first restored it to "official" 1.1.4 through iTunes. After this it was at the Connect to iTunes prompt so I put it back into recovery mode and re-ran PwnageTool and all went according to Cash's guide from that point.

So far battery life has been much improved but, this is more likely the result of the restore rather than the new PWNage method. For now I am staying on 1.1.4 PWN'd until 2.0 is a little further along.

I have read in many cases that people have successfully upgraded their 3.9BL (downgraded by ZiPhone) back up to 4.6BL, so if you're looking to do this, go right ahead. it works

tried 2.0 via pwned, very buggy - like freezes - slow - and exchange not working very well issues like contacts not syncing fully, email issues(would love some feedback on that if anyone tried). i know its beta.

im on 1.1.4 now, fully fonctional jailb, act and unlocked on 4.6bb.

ready to go back and test 2.0 once they fix the exchange feature ( which is really the one i was waiting for) , and the installe going on

Just to let you all know if u upgraded to the 2.0 beta and pwned it then it has ssh fully working user name is ur ip password is alpine for everyone. Still no 3rd party apps or installer work they show up on the springboard but when u click them they open and crash right away
