Honestly I would just start fresh, just format it so you have 1.0.2 if you have done this already then proceed to the next steps. I'm always how do you say, paranoid when it comes to things like this specially how new this mod is. It really isn't that hard, (In-terms of OSX I haven't looked at the Win version, I try to stay way from those

i have an 1.0.2 unlocked iphone, what guide shoul i need to use? there is no an easy way to upgrade to 1.1.1 without virginize or upgrade and downgrade and all that kind of stuff? i never upgraded to 1.1.1 and never bricked my phone, just unlocked my 1.0.2 with the guide of MMI.
if someone knows please let me know

yea Stevon the instructions arent clear, thats why i decided not to try this as i was reading over all the guides. Anyone get past the BSD guide? the wiki isn't clear we have no idea what that means

Ok...so i have a new 1.1.1 fm iphone which i purchased a week ago...Is there anyway to activate the simcard for non ATT users? I understand there is a way to jailbreak it but is there a way to activate the phone?

When going back to 1.0.2, i had problems with independence, until I realized I unziped the recovery folder by double clicking after renaming to a .zip file, instead of using stuffit expander.

unzip with expander made independence work the first try. wierd.

Well, I got too excited -- I had an iunlocked 1.0.2 phone, and read the "virginize" in the original article as being able to virginze the baseband.. *sigh*

well, I'm not able to get the FLS to take... and the phone does not recognize my Cingular(ATT) sim now.
