Why is it that the NOOBS around here with less than 10 posts are the ones that are jumping all over the DEV TEAM?! They are the ones with the least valued opinion around here and making it seem like the DEV TEAM owes them something! This whole controversy was meant to be all in good fun and so many of you people are throwing around pretty hard words and criticism. A few of the member's FIRST POSTS on this thread are really offensive to me and those of us who support these guys and all their hard work and effort.

How about all the ones that pay money so they can fool around with one of the hottes items on the market, I understand, and don't really care about them, closing shop but how about giving me back the 60.00 bucks I gave them for the development of PWN** BS, and plus if they were not going to lauch iphone 1.2b so Dev like me and around the World could used it to test their code on the real thing not the BS simulator apple gave us.

It's not even official that they've closed shop. They're web site is back up and running. It's great you donated some money. You have most likely been using an unlocked or jailbroken phone for a while now too which is all b/c of them. So even it is true they are gone, your money was well spent since it's not just Pwnage they are responsible for. They are the whole reason this iPhone community exists! They could have kept their tools and code secret and not shared it all FOR FREE!! They could have charged money for their intellectual property but they have yet to do so.

And if you really want 1.2 to test your apps why don't you join their IRC channel and persude them as to why you are so special that you deserve the privilege of having it before the public. Would you rather see them risk getting thrown in jail by releasing this?

You know the hacker creed or even why a hacker does what he does. If you want the hackers creed I can sure tell you it and here it goes. Remember there are a few out there but the one hackers can a agree on is this
"Hackers should do no harm and should not benefit *financially* from his or her hacking A nice common principle was that information should be free."
But as for Dev Team went the route they said if it was true would totally be against what they are doing. So if it was true it would be alright to call them a sell out and whatever else people called them.

iPhone Dev Team keep up the great work you have done alot for the iPhone Steve Jobs should send you some money since you guys have set the phone free and increase sales and have proven to be smarter than the ones that made it.

Wow!. The dev team soldout? Was it legal reasons or the money? It is just sad that all that work is down the drain and someone else will have to start all over. It sounds like apple is behind this.
