Maybe a stupid question but, if I buy a brand new iPhone with 1.1.1, how do I activate it before using IPSF without an AT&T account ?

Heres a question....
I have in the last few minutes downgraded the firmware on my 1.1.1 iPhone (it came with 1.1.1) I have it fully activated and will be running the anysim hack when I get home later today.
All I need to know is, once I have installed the anysim and my o2 sim-card works will I be able to update the firmware back to 1.1.1?? Surly this will return the iPhone to a non-activated state wont it? I dont really need to return it to 1.1.1 but having the iTunes store on my iPhone would be really nice!
Answers please!!!!!
Al.

I dont think anysim will work because it was designed for the older BB firmware. and downgrading doesnt dowgrade the BB. I think you need to use IPSF's software wich cost $60. Forgive me if I wrong but thats what I get out of this.

I'm gonna intentionally brick my 1.0.2 right now upgrading to 1.1.1. Then I'll downgrade back to 1.0.2, then unlock/fix bb, then upgrade problem free back to 1.1.1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(whataya think, i'm stupid!?!?!?!?! I'll just wait for the DevTeam's free bb fixer!!!)

Sorry, I will be using the software found at iPhonesimfree.com (the software that this thread is about!!) By the way its worded it looks like a phone that is sim unlocked using its software is then able to be uploaded with the 1.1.1 firmware and still be used with another GSM carrier.
I dont want to take this phone that I have already got working and make it unusable again by updating the firmware only to find that it is
un-activated again!!

What I did was get my "NEW" week 39 iPhone that came with 1.1.1 already installed and used the new ibrikr to downgrade the firmware to 1.0.2, I then installed apptrapp and fake activated the phone. I then paid $60 to www.iphonesimfree.com and with their software I will then make my iPhone GSM carrier free. The only thing I am not sure about is once I have made my iPhone GSM carrier free am I then able to update the firmware on the iPhone back to 1.1.1and not lose my fake activation???

ok so i strongly suggest you restor you guyses phones to att&t and forget about ever trying to unlock it again because i guarente you that you phones will keep getting shot down by apple and evenshully they just wont work and it wont be worth it. you know? idk just to me it doesnt seem worth it

Can someone please clarify this for me..I have a 1.1.1 new iphone purchased a week ago..Right now the only way to activate / unlock this phone is by paying 60 dollars to use the simfree software and using IPSF correct? i read all the post here and this is what i'm understanding...
P.S Lets go Dev Team on creating a free way to unlock these phones!

yes...i assume if you get a brand new phone with 1.1.1 you must jailbreak it (following instructions including downgrade to 1.0.2) and then unlock the gsm sim feature paying 60 bucks. Or just wait for a free unlock.

I currently have FM 1.0.2 and never updated. If I read their site correctly, in order to unlock my phone, I'd have to update to 1.1.1, then downgrade to 1.0.2 again to unlock, and then update to 1.1.1 again?
