Dev Team 1.1.1 Jailbreak

The Dev Team has now announced a 1.1.1 jailbreak method which allows for:

Downgrading to 1.0.2 (if necessary)
Preparing the iPhone for a jailbroken update
Performing a software update, leaving you with a jailbroken v1.1.1
Forcing v1.1.1 to mount read-write so you can access it
Installing SSH and BSD world
Activating with a Non-ATT SIM
Patching SpringBoard to allow third-party applications
Clean-up

This does NOT allow you to unlock a 1.1.1 iPhone, and WILL NOT WORK ON AN UNLOCKED IPHONE. Again, if you have unlocked your iPhone, DO NOT DO THIS.

i have a brand new iphone pre loaded with 1.1.1 , and i dont have an at&t account, am i still screwed?

i'm guessing there will be an update to installer.app soon ? , i'm an at&t customer so i'm not looking to "unlock" my phone just add apps to it

if i have upgraded before and downgraded since will this method work i have the 4. something baseband i have att is it possible for this to work for me?

Open the one named readme and do what it says.

I cannot currently create a guide since my iPhone has been unlocked, and this does not work on any iPhone with a modified baseband.

Read the first post, guys, this works as long as your iPhone has NEVER BEEN UNLOCKED.

i cant get this conceited software beta repository to work...i have installer.app on my phone which i put on with apptapp (windows) but whenever I type in the link on my iphone in Mobile Safari, it just comes up with a bunch of words and links all jumbled together... no confirmation screen about adding it as a source... help?

I'm with you there. Unlocked mine for a trip to Canada, only to find out that my regular sim would have worked with out international roaming added on my account. pffft.

I may grab one from my store tomorrow and give it a whirl.
