I'm an idiot with this stuff.... so will I, on my PPC mac, be able to do this easily or will it be a few more days for the slow ones like me?

If you're not comfortable with actually SSHing into your phone and entering commands in a terminal app, wait a few more days for a point and click version. it won't be far behind I'm sure

Give it a few days folks... we've waited a long time, a day or two wont hurt. Im sure now that the method has been confirmed developers will update their stuff to work with it, and it will be all good!

This is the weird thing... most of the guides I've seen say "this will only work on an Intel Mac". But I have yet to come across one that didn't work on my PPC Mac.

The title of this post is - '1.1.1 Jailbreak Completed & CONFIRMED'... But has anyone really confirmed this hack?? Niacin says it's been confirmed by Engadget, but they don't seem to say this... TUAW has been reporting this hack for a few days, yet Erica says she has no firsthand info of it. Doeas anyone know if this isn't a complete scam??? Just find it a bit alarming that something's been so heavily reported but yet no one's actually seen it...

If the jailbreak in fact uses the .tiff exploit I can't honestly seeing it lasting very long. that is a huge vulnerability on the phone, and this jailbreak is a huge show of what it can do, and no ammount of 3rd-party apps is worth someone bricking or stealing information from your phone.

question: what is it about intel macs that make them so much easier to be compatible with new programs in the iphonehacking world? Are ppc's just a technology of the past that take extra work to port over versions working for them?

not sure if anyone will really have an answer..but I've always wondered
