I cant wait for Ibrickr to come out.
They'll have to completely change the PXL deamon on the program to get the Apps to show up on the springboard... Could take some time, elspecially to change it to a nice GUI.

Man i hope that Summerboard is released for 1.1.1.
And PACAY, and Anysim...Gosh, there is to much to name...

Can someone tell me if after the dev team has jailbreak the 1.1.1 and solved the problem I will be able to use my iphone not as a ipod but as a phone? ( because I cant use it as a phone right now) thank you

Hi,

Yes,

What will happen is they'll release a hack that'll by-pass any 'bricking' done by the upgrade process. So you'll have a nice 1.1.1 Iphone that is fully functional + the needed features of 3rd party apps.

IPSF claims that they're unlock method workes on any version of a jailbreaked iphone. Which is probably untrue.

When the jailbreak for the 1.1.1 FW comes out, we'll know for sure.

Until then, i wouldnt have a solid answer.
Fortunantly the Dev Team should have an unlock soon after the 1.1.1 firmware hack.

Hey Guys I'm new here .. Can anyone tell me how to unlock my 1.1.1 iphone already downgraded to a 1.0.2 , So I can use it as an Ipod and use all the other applications until the Jailbrake is release.. I bought it a couple of weeks ago and I havent been able to use it still on the activate screen.. since my boss whilst trying to unlock it ( without knowing it was a 1.1.1) upgraded it to 1.1.1 by mistake and then downgraded it after to 1.0.2 cheers I'll appreciate your answers.

Be patient! Dont do anything yet if you are running 1.1.1.... After they come up with an official jailbreak software, and you read that it works consistently, then you should mod your phone. Use your rationale and good judgement, a lot of people didnt get second chances.

Do a search saying "downgrade 1.1.1 to 1.0.2"... its around here somewhere. FYI the search feature is at the very top right.

thanks man... one question I have downgraded my iphone from 1.1.1 to 1.0.2 ovbiously the band is stil 4.0...bla.. and on the activate screen .. So basically you are saying that I can unlock it to use all the other applications ? apart from the phone capabilities ? Thanks a lot

Well... I dont know 100% because I havent actually went through those posts about downgrading, but thats what the word is.

Phone doesnt work, everything else does, I think even wifi. But it should be in the thread about downgrading. Good luck.

Edit: Actually... just browsing through the downgrade thread, people have gotten their phone to work, but you must be activated through att already. So it basically depends on your specific situation.

my phone has the imei number as the 0049. It is on the 1.1.1 and the baseband is on the new firmware. With the jailbreak are we going to be able to get back the gsm features and get back the real imei?

If you're talking about the iPod pop up...it's included in the 1.1.1 firmware from Apple

I can confirm that u do NOT need at&t sim to downgrade to 1.0.2

baseband remains at 4.blah. phone functions won't work . Tracking the status of IMEI #, would be interesting though.

i used anysim but it got messed up but i guessed it still patched it. I have att and i can downgrade to 1.0.2 but i cant use my gsm features. If i update to 1.1.1 can i skip the activation like idid with 1.1.1. and get my gsm features back?
