Will the old apps work with the new 1.1.1
or the programmers have to re-code them?

Just my thoughts but It seams that Apple is fine with the 3rd party stuff, just not the unlocking. All this trouble started with the unlock procedures. so with that in mind just becareful about what is created for 1.1.1 and above. I think that if the unlock is abandoned (I know, I know dont KILL me!!!) we might be ok with the mods.

yea, the unlock may have pushed apple to do something. but its defiantly not something that should be abandoned.

also the ppl (person) asking about if the old apps will work. READ THE LINK THAT THIS THREAD IS ABOUT b/c they talk about it.

-some apps are working, others are crashing/freezing. most/if not all will need to be modified to working with 1.1.1

Great news... but, let's not lose track of reality. "...hard at work for weeks"; it's been 11 days folks. I don't mean to bash the great work, but let's maintain some level of accuracy and by the way; what happened to the utility that was supposed to be released shortly after the 1.1.1.1 firmware to restore the phone to its original state?

not true at all. notice all the frameworks have changed in 1.1.1. the iphone OS is still a work in progress for apple.

They've been working on the touch since way before 1.1.1.1, it's the same firmware/software/OS/whatever.

they said they "bypassed activation with 3rd party apps" ... can some1 clarify this? does this mean they have managed to bypass activating 1.1.1 without using iTunes/AT&T? or does it just mean they've activated 3rd party applications
