The new iPhone SDK which is available now to registered devs includes support for iPhone Interface builder - devs have been waiting for this!
What does it mean? Drag and drop UI building for devs.

Okay When I have my iphone plugged up in xcode and click to run it on my iphone for debugging instead of aspen simulator.. it says no iPhone connected but in another window in xcode shows my iPhone with a little green light! I don't understand! is it because i have jailbroken it?

I would like to say, maybe I am using this the wrong way, but after 10 minutes I had to turn this off. It's almost unbearable to use, mighty buggy too...

Anybody able to invoke the Interface Builder? The project template doesn't generate a NIB.
It's because you have to install 1.2 firmware on your iPhone to be able to debug over the USB tether.
In other words, unless you have been accepted into the beta program and have paid the $99 you cannot install SDK apps on your iPhone yet.Last edited by imode; 03-27-2008 at 10:13 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Kicking myself in the ***** for not thinking of this earlier. Open Interface Builder from spotlight. Select the "Cocoa Touch" tab on the "Choose a Template" dialog, then choose "Window", Save and the NIB is generated. To load the NIB in the app, in the *AppDelegate class replace the contents of applicationDidFinishLaunching with
self.window = [[[NSBundle mainBundle] loadNibNamed:@”MainWindow” owner:self options:nil] objectAtIndex:0];
[window makeKeyAndVisible];
Since a standard Cocoa application template auto-generates a NIB, I was expecting the same behaviour for the iPhone Cocoa Touch application and was too lazy to simply start it.
I was able to rebuild my application UI as a NIB within Interface Builder and it runs nicely on the Aspen simulator. Xcode did crash once or twice so I expect there will be a few more beta releases. Wish I could run it on my iPhone though...

You are not serious right??? If you don't know what an SDK is then don't bother downloading it... If you do know how to write code then just reading previous posts will tell you that you cannot install SDK compiled apps on a 1.1.4 firmware... As for copying music from the iphone, it's very easy... just do some research first.

So... I guess the 1.2 firmware hasn't been leaked yet?
