Mobile Store Running on 1.0.2!
There isn't full instructions yet, and apparently the method of doing so breaks a bunch of OTHER stuff on your 1.0.2 iPhone, so I wouldn't advise doing it quite yet, but a hacker named digitalgecko has successfully run the MobileStore.app on a 1.0.2 phone!
"WARNING: Currently Following Any Instuctions To Enable the Store Will Break Almost Everything Else, You WILL be Restoring Your Phone
digitalgecko has successfully run the MobileStore.app on a 1.0.2 phone. Doing so requires replacing alot of frameworks so its not currently recommended. The store functionality is limited as itunes will not configure a 1.0.2 Iphone for Mobile access."

Sweet... well. I wouldn't do it if I was anybody here. I don't think it is worth it. But I am glad to see some progress.

this means closer and closer to unlocking 1.0.2 with the 1.1.1 baseband correct.

Nah, it doesn't. Means someone got the Wifi store working on 1.0.2.
That doesn't touch the baseband...

Does this mean we might soon be able to run the store WITHOUT breaking everything else? Personally the only thing I want from the new update is video output capability, but the store is cool too.

I thought this was about the MMI store on an iPhone.
I'm like, I don't need an iPhone case that bad!

Just got back from the apple store returning my bricked iphone (told them it was a gift from my grandma and i had only had it 2 days) but now I have a working iphone again but I am stuck with 1.1.1 and I have to say I am not at all impressed with the mobile itunes. I would much rather have all my 3rd party apps like I used to have instead.

This is cool, but isn't it a step in the opposite direction? I mean sure, if we can't have 1.1.1 jailbreak, this is a fine alternative, but its kinda dumb to have the itunes store without all the other decent features of the update. props though on w/e it is the guy did....

I was one of the 'tards that updgraded to 1.1.1 but I have since come back to 1.0.2. When I had 1.1.1, the store was cool, but certainly not worth the upgrade. I agree, let's get a jailbreak for 1.1.1, and then we won't worry about the store breaking the phone....
