Email doesn't work after iLiberty+

didn't worked for me. here's why:

my yahoo mail wasn't working on my 2.5c ziphone'd 1.1.4 it kept giving me a "Cannot Get Mail. The user name or password for "imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com" is incorrect"

I tried changing the password, reseting the phone, & creating a new mail account but nothing worked.

so i did a restore and then tested the mail and the email worked fine, no errors.

Then i used iliberty+ to jailbreak and put installer on.
The jailbreak went fine but, sure enough, I'm now getting the same error again.

Anybody know how I can fix this issue? It's been happening for about a day now. I've tried all I can think of!

I'd like to have a jailbroken phone like it was when i was on 1.1.2 and the email still worked.

Thanks

the mail crash fix on 1.1.4

hi
You can ssh into your phone with winscp and open up putty login then write

chown -R mobile:mobile /private/var/mobile

and then close putty close winscp and then restart your phone and then it mail.app should be working... btw doesnt need to be putty through winscp it could be the phone terminal or any terminal.

thanks

Okay it says it has fakeblank but when will they ever release something to be able to revert youre bootloader i mean i want to move up to 1.1.4 but i dont think i will until they actually release something to revert it up to 4.6 from 3.9 using the fake bootloader

Okay this may sound like a noob question, because it probably is.

I have a 8G 1.1.2 oob Jailbroken, I want to get it to 1.1.4 Jailbroken, do I restore my phone then upgrade to 1.1.4?

Or do I just leave everything and upgrade to 1.1.4, and Jailbreak?

I really just need all the steps in order on how to do it.

Since your phone has been previously jailbroken with a different method it is in your best interests to RESTORE to 1.1.4 and then use iLiberty. After you plug your phone into iTunes be sure and set it up as a NEW phone, not from a back-up image.

XLiberty (for OSX) has an option to go from 3.9FB back to 4.6 but there is no way to unlock any baseband version after 4.02 with a 4.6 bootloader so you'd be stuck without the "locate me" feature and anything else that goes along with an updated baseband.

"it still can't do what it's supposed to do" doesn't give me or anyone else enough information to diagnose your problem. I would recommend doing a complete RESTORE to 1.1.4.. then connect to iTunes and then run iLiberty again.

what i did to an originally jailbroken, activated, unlocked iphone in chronological order:

1. complete restore to 1.1.4 on mac os
2. tried to use ilibertyX to "jailbreak+activate+unlock"---> no luck..just quited sayin nothing
3. on windows, tried iliberty+ to "jailbreak+act+unlock"---> unable to create payload folder
3. post on this thread(see 4 threads above)
4. on windows, tried iliberty+ to "jailbreak" only---> cannot boot into recovery mode
5. post again
6. on windows, ziphoned it "do it all"..done in 4 minutes---->much happier
6.5 on windows, in itunes set up as a new phone, sync contacts...etc
7. on windows, iliberty to try to install payload--->ABLE to boot the phone into recovery mode but iliberty said it was UNABLE to do so
8. ibrickr to get the phone out of recovery mode
9. this post

Hmm.. the only thing i see missing from the steps is to connect the phone to iTunes and let it recognize the phone first then open and run iLiberty which will kill iTunes/helper automatically.
