If you're missing those iOS 6 and earlier days when there was a physical slider on the Lock Screen, but want to keep things looking iOS 7-like with the nice new blur effects and thin fonts, then check out a new jailbreak tweak called BlurSlide by iOS developer CP Digital Darkroom.

Shown above, BlurSlide puts a new slider effect on the iOS 7 Lock Screen. The slider resembles the slide to unlock slider on iOS 6 and earlier, although it's themed to match the aesthetics of iOS 7. As you can probably imagine, the tweak requires you to slide on the slider too, and not just anywhere on the Lock Screen.

The appearance of BlurSlide is fully customizable. The developer provides a preferences pane in the Settings application where you can configure it to your liking:

Here, you can enable or disable the tweak on demand, see a preview of your slider, and even configure more advanced options:

The things you will be able to configure include:

  • Hiding or showing the bottom box blur
  • Requiring your passcode to unlock
  • Using a minimal view interface (for minimalists)
  • Allowing swiping anywhere outside of the slider to unlock
  • Configuring the blur radius
  • Configuring the blur opacity
  • Configuring the blur tint
  • Configuring the tint opacity
  • Configuring the knob style
  • Configuring the font style and size
  • Resetting settings to defaults

There are a number of different looks you can make, but we think the default settings look pretty nice themselves. It'll be up to you guys to get your hands dirty with the customization settings, so if you want to give BlurSlide a try, it's available in Cydia's BigBoss repository right now for just 99. iOS 7 is required for the installation.
