Default Got a Broken Home Button and/or Lock Button? No Problem! Try 'vHome'

If you have a broken Home Button or a broken Lock Button (or both), then you may really want to take a look at a new free jailbreak tweak dubbed vHome by iOS developer Noeliel.

This new free tweak adds a dynamic button to your iOS 7 device that can be accessed from anywhere within applications, from the Lock Screen, from the Home Screen, from Control Center, and even from Notification Center.

By default, the virtual button is a Home Button, but you can drag it up to the top left-hand corner to change it into a Lock Button. You can then drag it back down to the bottom right-hand corner to change it back into a Home Button when you're ready. The buttons are designed to look like the real thing, so distinguishing between the two is easy.

The developer also put a lot of time into making the buttons look nice they'll use the iOS 7 blur effect so that anything hiding under the button will impact the color of the button, as you can see above.

When you visit the Settings application after installing vHome, you will find a preferences pane where you can configure a couple of options to your liking:

From here, you will be able to enable or disable the tweak on demand, as well as use a slider to adjust the opacity of the buttons as they appear on your display.

If you would like to give vHome a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository. iOS 7 is required to install this tweak.

    Name: vHome
    Price: FREE
    Version: 1.0
    Requirements: iOS 7.0-7.1.2
Tested on: iPhone 5 running iOS 7.1.2
    Repo: BigBoss
    Developer: Noeliel

Just use activator. I have mine set so when i hold the middle of the status bar, it acts like the lock button. Right corner hold takes a screen shot, and left corner hold reboots the phone.

What about assistive touch? That's even built in to iOS.
