Make App Icons That Have Badges Glow Colors of Your Choice With 'GlowBadge'
If you want to add a new touch of color to your iOS 7 Home Screen, check out a new free jailbreak tweak called GlowBadge by iOS developer Sassoty.
With this tweak installed, any application icons you have that have any notification badges on the icon will glow a specific color, as shown above. You can choose the glow color that you want via the tweak's preferences pane, which is shown below:
From the preferences pane, you can enable or disable the tweak on demand, choose to hide the badge when having an application icon glow a certain color, and choose the color that you want applications with notification badges to glow.
The colors that you have to pick from include:
- Dark gray
- Light gray
The glowing effect only lasts as long as there is a notification badge on the application icon. Once you acknowledge the notification, the glowing effect will stop appearing. It works for all of your application icons that have a notification badge, and all of the application icons glow the same color.
The tweak's purpose is to make it easier to see what applications have notifications and to add a touch of customization to your iOS 7 Home Screen – it does a nice job for a free tweak. If you would like to give GlowBadge a try, it's available for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository right now. iOS 7 is required for the installation.
Requirements: iOS 7.0-7.1.2
