On Thursday, Google pushed an update for its popular standalone Gmail e-mail application for the iOS platform. The latest version that can be downloaded from the iOS App Store now is version 3.14159.

The update adds a number of new features for Gmail users that also like to use Google Drive. With new linking features, Gmail users can now add attachments directly from Google Drive without the need to download files onto the user's device and eat up storage space before attaching.

In addition, users will find that Google has added new features for account management into the application. Now, users that use multiple Gmail accounts on their device can choose what accounts are visible on that device without completely removing them from the device. Account profile pictures can also now be changed from the Gmail settings by the user.

Existing users of Gmail for iOS will find this update under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Gmail for iOS for free from this App Store link.
