Default 'xNotiLockColor' Lets You Configure Custom Colors for Your Lock Screen Notifications

If you want to add a touch of personalized color to the incoming notifications on your iOS 7 Lock Screen, then check out a new jailbreak tweak called xNotiLockColor by iOS developer Alberto Torres.

As shown above, this tweak will let you colorize the notification experience from your Lock Screen. You can set custom colors for the title of the notification, the content of the notification, the subtitle of the notification, the separator lines between notifications, and the time and slide text underneath each notification.

The tweak adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure all of these colors to your liking:

The five things you can customize the colors for include:

    • Primary
    • Secondary
    • Subtitle
    • Time/Slide
    • Separator

Under each option, there is a list of pre-set colors you can choose from. This obviously limits your color selection by forcing you to pick from the list and not create your own colors, but the developer includes a decent list of colors, including:

    • Clear
    • Black
    • Blue
    • Brown
    • Cyan
    • Gold
    • Green
    • Magenta
    • Orange
    • Red
    • Purple
    • Teal
    • White
    • Yellow

Since you need to respring to save changes that you make, a respring button is included for you in the tweak's preferences pane that you can use.

XNotiLockColor is a cool way to add your own touch to your iOS 7 Lock Screen. If you would like to give it a try, it's available right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository for just 99.

Those color combinations on the picture are hideous. It looks like something made on Windows 95.

Honestly why would anyone want to pay for this tweak?

The colors used were only for demonstration purposes. We wanted to use colors that differentiated from one another so that it was obvious what the tweak does.

You can use any colors you want.
