Default Sprint Brings 4G LTE to 28 New Markets in the U.S.

On Monday, Sprint announced that its 4G LTE ultra-fast cellular data network would be available in 28 new markets in the United States, inducing Seattle, Cleveland, and San Jose. The carrier doesn't go into detail about other locations that now have access to the 4G LTE network, but they do provide a full list of supported cities that is 471 entries long at this link.

While that's a good chunk of cities, Sprint is still far behind compared to AT&T and Verizon in terms of 4G LTE cellular date coverage in the United States.

Sprint's announcement also goes on to say that Sprint Spark is available in three new markets, and that Sprint's HD voice is now available nationwide.

4G LTE offers a theoretical download speed of around 100Mb/s, however due to network congestion, the download speeds on 4G LTE in real life situations are significantly slower. Many of Apple's latest devices, including the iPhone 5s, iPad Mini with retina display, and iPad Air can take advantage of Sprint's 4G LTE network.

All those covered cities, some of them pretty small, but still no love for Cincinnati. I just don't understand...

Depends on your area I suppose. My friend has AT&T and in his area he gets 40-50 mbps.

I get 7-9 mbps at home on TMo LTE and 16-20mbps at work. At the gym I get 30mbps. I have super bad signal at home...gonna need iOS 8 to roll out soon so I can get my wifi calling feature that I used to have on Android
