Apple Hires Nokia's Senior Lumia Engineer
Capping off a busy week of new hires and retirements at Apple, the Cupertino, California-based iDevice maker is ending the first full week of May on a positive note - with the confirmed addition of Nokia's senior Lumina engineer, Ari Partinen.
Billed by Nokia as "(our) own camera expert," Partinen has parted ways with Nokia to head for presumably greener pastures at Apple.
According to the initial report from Engadget, which was since been independently confirmed, Partinen has definitely been hired by Apple. That much should have been clear, however, by his telling tweet this morning: "Today will be my last day working for the amazing #Lumia family. In June I will start a new chapter in Cupertino, California. Much love!"
As if that wasn't enough of a self-evident confession, Partinen subsequently tweeted: "Thank you for great discussions and feedback! (And it is the company you are thinking assuming you are thinking Apple) =)"

Looks like he's leaving a sinking ship and Microsoft will destroy Nokia faster than Nokia could have!

Come on, let's have 41-MPixel (a la Nokia 808) as a bare minimum.
Released in 2012 - and still the best smartphone camera out there.
