Default 'DockFlow' Gives Your Dock App Icons Barrel-inspired Animations

Those of you familiar with the popular Barrel jailbreak tweak may be interested to hear about DockFlow by iOS developer FreeApple.

DockFlow is a barrel-inspired jailbreak tweak that brings animations to the application dock in iOS 7. You can pick from several different animations and then customize them so that your dock application icons move around as you scroll through them, as shown above.

DockFlow adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure your animations and customize them to your liking:

From here, you can enable or disable the tweak on demand, enable or disable continuous scrolling, enable or disable paging through the application icons on the dock, enable or disable application icon labels on the dock, and enable or disable centering the selected application icon.

There are also some sliders so you can change the application icon spacing, the speed of the scrolling, and the perspective for some animations. At the bottom of the preferences pane, you will find a cell for selecting the animation that you want to use. You can pick from the following:

    • Linear
    • Rotary
    • InvertedRotary
    • Cylinder
    • InvertedCylinder
    • Wheel
    • Step Up and Away
    • CoverFlow
    • Flippy
    • TimeMachine
    • InvertedTimeMachine

You can check out the developer's teaser video of DockFlow below:

Do not download this crap, I downloaded, tried it out, deleted it through cydia and it didn't clean itself up properly. Did it about 5 times. It left behind weird animations on my springboard including it's own special dock. I tried everything(experienced JB of every iPhone). In the end I did accidentally delete something in file that was tied into the core files. All my stock iPhone apps were gone, needless to say had to eventually restore henceforth losing my JB! I've never lost a JB EVER!

Ouch! Not sure what you currently have installed for tweaks but they are not all compatible. This may be the straw the broke the camels back. Would have been a good idea to install it without any other tweaks to test. Then again, I understand why you didn't considering the bad taste that is probably still in your mouth.

    wow, that's a dagger

Having problems after buying it. Never got it to work maybe is not 5s capable? But i don't see that mention in the tweak? Has any got it to work with 5s?

No offense, but I think this app is ridiculous. The dock is so people can instantly access their most used programs. Scrolling through a plethora of apps to get to the one you need seems silly at best.

I have a 5S as well and the tweak works but not well. The developer claims it works with Springtomize and while it does function, it doesn't function as intended. Firstly, when respringing, the dock reduces in size until you either open a folder and close it or lock the phone and unlock. I sent an image to the developer without a response. I haven't deleted the tweak because it does work, but only occasionally and not as described. Definitely needs to be fixed.

Ty for confirming that works for 5s. Mines doesn't. O well I'd try on the c later on maybe because i do have something bad like tweak not capable on working with it to well. My dock nothing shows up after enabling it. I play around with the settings but nothing . I'd check for updates .

I downloaded this on my 5s and it turns the reduced motion on and is one the buggiest tweaks I've tried. Stay away till it gets cleaned up! Beltway concept but horrible execution.

I asked chpwn to make this tweak in 2011... He said no. But someone finally made it!

People don't make tweaks to combine with the 30 you have. Want to try it? Remove conflicting dock tweaks. Seriously, don't tell us how bad it a when it is user error.

I fully agree!!! I paid for this thing and took it off in 5mins, and thats where problems popped up galore. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. SO PISSED, thanks for nothing FreeApple. Now I'm left with slim hope and praying that someone comes out with a 7.1 JB for A7 devices...

I've an 5S and it works really nice. I use the Coverflow effect with nine icons in the dock.
I've a different tweaks also installed and my iPhone didnt crashed! After the installation the animation for opening apps are switch, but I like it!
Maybe we have to wait for an major update...

Or perhaps the developer could actually be honest and SAY which tweaks don't work with it rather than falsely tell us it works with Springtomize and other tweaks when it clearly does not function as intended. The point of a developer is to code it in such a way that does NOT interfere with other tweaks. I don't even have any other dock tweaks installed and it STILL doesn't function as described.

I install it on my 5c with only barrel, bitesms, eclipse. Works fine. But with my 5s thats ...diff story😷

agreed with the above i have this on my iPhone 5 and it is soo Buggy (I have classicdock and springtomise altering my dock)
Randomly moves my homescreen icons, or removes them completely. Dock dissapears sometimes or flies off the screen or gradually moves up the screen pushing all the icons up with it.

Haven't removed it as when it is working well its actually really nice and the stories above ^ have made me worry what will happen when/if i do remove it

I've removed it for now until the developer releases an update (or at least responds to the numerous issues involving the current release).
