Default 'SixBar' Gives Your iOS 7 Device a Solid Black and White Status Bar

If you don't like the way the Status Bar looks in iOS 7 with no background, then check out a new free jailbreak tweak called SixBar by iOS developer xTheMaster3x.

SixBar will give the iOS 7 Status Bar a black background no matter where you are, and easily makes the Status Bar look better when in applications where it ends up overlaying every little interface that it shouldn't, including the Camera application, photos in the Photos application, and more.

In addition, if you just prefer the black Status Bar look, then this tweak is definitely for you:

The tweak, although it aims to give your iOS 7 device an iOS 6-style Status Bar, doesn't really give your iOS device an iOS 6-style Status Bar. In iOS 6, your Status Bar would get tinted to match the color of the navigation bar of the application you opened, and the Status Bar on the Home Screen would be transparent. Instead, this tweak just gives your Status Bar a black background everywhere in iOS.

The tweak adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can enable or disable the tweak on demand. Changing this setting requires a repring to take effect:

If you want to give SixBar a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository. The tweak requires iOS 7 to be installed.

    Name: SixBar
    Price: FREE
    Version: 0.0.1-6
    Requirements: iOS 7.0-7.0.6
Tested on: iPhone 5 running iOS 7.0.6
    Repo: BigBoss
    Developer: xTheMaster3x

I like it but it only works on home screens. When you switch to any apps it goes back to the white. Wish they would fix it to stay black no matter where you are. Makes the status bar more visible. Great tweak.
