Default Apple Releases iOS 7.0.5 to the Public With Minor Bug Fixes

On Wednesday, Apple released a very minor software update for some iPhones sold in China – version 7.0.5.

The update corrects network provisioning for iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c units in China, and may also include a couple of other minor bug fixes that aren't listed.

At this point in time, no well-known jailbreak hackers have commented on the jailbreakability of iOS 7.0.5, and so we would recommend holding off for the update if you value your jailbreak. At this point in time, the latest version of evasi0n7, version 1.0.4, only jailbreaks iOS 7.0-7.0.4 and some variations of iOS 7.1 beta.

If we hear anything from any well-known hackers in the community, we will be sure to keep you updated. An upcoming update for all iOS devices, version 7.1, does patch the evasi0n7 jailbreak and you should avoid the update if you value your jailbreak. There is not yet any estimated time of arrival for iOS 7.1.

I won't be surprised if exploit is patched on this update.

I doubt, it would have mentioned "bug fixes" in the change log. Last year evasi0n was released at 6.1 but it wasn't patched till 6.1.3. Apple skipped 6.1.1 (fix iPhone 4S network bug) and 6.1.2 (all).

It'd be incredibly... ah, unorthodox... if this particular firmware patched the evasi0n7 jailbreak, considering it was only released for one model each of two devices (i.e., the CDMA/global variants of the iPhone 5s and 5c). It would remain unpatched on one set of 5s/5c devices plus the rest of the iOS device cadre.

That being said, for the love of all that is good, do NOT update if you like your jailbreak.

I'm on the iOS up date now
    The
Drainage was from the Virtual home ID tweaks

5 days? Are you leaving your phone on a shelf most of the time??

Judging from the past, evasi0n will be unpatched until 7.1.

i0n1c tweeted that it's not patched, but evasi0n itself will just need a patch to accept 7.0.5

Who cares if it patches the jailbreak? It's only for people who live in China anyway.

The only reason you're seeing your battery drain faster is because thanks to the jailbreak the phone is actually usable now, so you use it more.

Try turing off the background app refresh in general it will help with battery life
