Default 'Animer7' Lets You Customize the Animations of Your Banners and App Switcher in iOS 7

If you enjoyed Animer, a popular jailbreak tweak by iOS development team HASHBANG Productions that lets you customize your banner notification animations and your App Switcher animations, then you'll be happy to hear that an iOS 7-compatbile version of the tweak dubbed Animer7 is now available in Cydia.

Just like it's predecessor, Animer7 allows you to customize the animations of your banner notifications and your App Switcher. The tweak adds a preferences pane to your Settings application, shown above, that allows you to configure your animations to your liking.

From the "Notification Banners" cell, you will find options for configuring your banner notification animations for both incoming animations and outgoing animations. You'll be able to set the incoming banner slide animation to any of the following:

    • Slide from Top
    • Slide from Right
    • Slide from Left
    • Slide from Bottom
    • None

You can also set the incoming banner fade animation to either be the default, or to fade in, and you can set the incoming banner zoom animation to either be the default, or to zoom in, or zoom out. For outgoing banner slide animations, you'll be able to pick from any of the animations in the bulleted list above, and you'll be able to enable or disable having the banner notification fade out as it exits your screen. There are two buttons for showing a test banner if you want to test any of your settings. All changes are immediate and don't require a respring, so this offers a convenient way to quickly change settings and make it to your liking all in one place.

From the "Multitasking Switcher" cell, you will find animation options for the App Switcher. You can enable or disable an option that lets you have the App Switcher fade in, as well as choose an App Switcher slide animation. The slide animation can be set either to "none," or to slide from the top or slide from the bottom. The zoom animation can be set to "none," or to zoom in.

The last cell you will find in the Animer7 preferences pane is "Extras." From here, you will be able to hide or show the Newsstand application from the Home Screen, and hide or show the separator lines from Control Center.

After you've gotten your hands dirty with Animer7, you will be able to make your animations for notification banners and the App Switcher unique and unlike anyone else's. It's a nifty little tweak for anyone that loves customization. If you want to give Animer7 a try, it's available for $1.99 in Cydia's BigBoss repository.

The tweak "Chip" has also been updated, it lets you change the animation for notification banners and lets you theme them too, i'd recommend trying that out.
