'Alkaline' Lets You Theme Your iOS 7 Battery Icon Without Using WinterBoard
Fresh in the Cydia Store is a new free jailbreak tweak called Alkaline by iOS developer magn2o. Alkaline lets you theme your iOS 7 Status Bar battery icon without the use of WinterBoard, as shown above.
The tweak comes with two options in its preferences pane in the Settings application. Apart from the default battery icon that Apple gives you, you can choose between a slimmer battery icon called "Bolus," or a battery icon that uses bars instead of a progress bar-style battery level indicator called "Habesha." If any of the pre-loaded battery icons aren't good enough for you, you can make your own and apply them with Alkaline. You can see the preferences pane below:
Simply selecting the battery icon style that you want, and then respringing your device will force your changes to take effect and give you a cooler battery level indicator in your Status Bar. When you go to the main Alkaline preferences pane before the cell that lets you pick a battery icon, you will find a respring button at the top left in the navigation bar that you can use to easily save your settings.
Alkaline is a free jailbreak tweak, but within the main preferences pane of the tweak in the Settings application, you will find donation links to help fight Neuroblastoma, a type of pediatric cancer. You'll find links to a number of organizations including Because of Ezra (which is operated by Kyle Matthews, the owner of ModMyi.com) that research ways to fight or even cure this horrible sickness. This isn't the first time that the jailbreak community has been involved in helping to fight Neuroblastoma – tweaks like Arco and LivelyIcons have also focused their energy on fighting Neuroblastoma.
If you want to give Alkaline a try, it's available for free in Cydia's ModMyi repository. The tweak requires iOS 7 to be installed.
Requirements: iOS 7.0-7.0.4
Tested on: iPhone 5 running iOS 7.0.4
Editor's Rating: 5/5

This works well, however I would like to see a few things changed.
For one, there needs to be a setting to turn this tweak on or off after it's installed.
For two, there are 400 images for each battery! Why?! There are 100 images of the battery as it moves across a space of less than 20 pixels.
This tweak works, but the way it's constructed makes no sense.

Great except that the line edges on the Bolus version don't look smooth
