'SubtleLock (iOS 7)' is a Lock Screen Tweak for iOS 7 Minimalists
About a year ago, we showed you a jailbreak tweak called SubtleLock by iOS developer Michael Poole. The tweak simplified the Lock Screen by slimming down the user interface elements to make more room for incoming Lock Screen notifications and viewing your Lock Screen wallpaper.
The developer has just released an iOS 7-compatible version of the tweak called SubtleLock (iOS 7) and it is available in Cydia right now for $1.00. If you own SubtleLock already, it's a free upgrade. As you can probably guess, the tweak does the same thing as the original, but it's intended for iOS 7 only. You can see what the tweak actually does to your Lock Screen in the screenshot examples above.
SubtleLock (iOS 7) moves the lock up to the top left hand corner with smaller font, and moves the date to the top right hand corner. The Slide to Unlock text is moved down a little more from before the tweak was installed.
You'll also find a preferences pane in the Settings application where you can further configure how your Lock Screen will look:
You'll be able to hide or show the clock entirely, or even hide or show the clock seconds. You'll also find options for hiding or showing the slider, changing the label color, hiding or showing the date, hiding or showing the Camera Grabber, hiding or showing the Control Center Grabber, and hiding or showing the Notification Center Grabber.
SubtleLock (iOS 7) is intended for those iOS 7 minimalists out there, and it does a good job of making your Lock Screen feel more lightweight. If you want to give it a try, you'll find it in Cydia right now.
Name: SubtleLock (iOS 7)
Price: $1.00 (Free upgrade for SubtleLock owners)
Requirements: iOS 7.0-7.0.4
Tested on: iPhone 5 running iOS 7.0.4
Developer: Michael Poole
Editor's Rating: 5/5

Whoa, I like it! You just won my dollar, sir.
Now I just need Pinch to Unlock for iOS 7 and all my lockscreen needs will be fulfilled
Update: This tweak crashes my iPod Touch 5 into safe mode. Needs an update.
Update2: This tweak now works great!

Doesn't work for 4s at all safe mode. Did the dev even tested this for these devices?

this tweak had a memory leak on ios6 which never was resolved. i hope this isn't the case here because its a very nice tweak

BAH! CustomLS offers more than this and it's free! You can even hide the large clock entirely and put it in the status bar and you can remove the grabbers too. Way more minimalist.

Got it some 10,11 hrs ago. On 4S, useless to me. Surely will be updated. Sad tho...

It looks great, but changing the text color doesn't affect the status bar or slide to unlock text color. Also, the font could benefit from an option to make it either larger or bolder. Otherwise it works great on my iPhone 5.They can have my jailbreak when they pry it from my cold dead fingers.

CustomLS doesn't give that 'side by side' view for the time and date does it?
For me that's the benefit of this tweak - still having a large time & date, but with way more room for notifications.
However it's also crashing to safe mode for me on my iPhone 4. Hoping for a fix soon.

The author replied to my mail that an update will be submitted within the next 24 hours which adresses the substrate fails on certain devices.

So far I like it, one issue though is when your playing a song the "player controls" cover new messages/notifications... If that were to get fixed hell, five stars from me.

Working great on the iPhone 5.
The only issue I've found is one concerning BiteSMS.
This tweak will leave BiteSMS's quick-reply feature on the lockscreen, useless. All it will allow you to do is slide the notification to open the app. This may be a deal breaker, because the only reason I have BiteSMS is for said feature. Fingers crossed for a quick fix!

I'd like a way to customise the actual date layout - as I would have liked:
Date Number Month (without the comma)
Apart from that - very well implemented - I can now see my lockscreen wallpaper properly!

Seems like there still quite a bit of work to do to get this tweak up to a full working release. Since we have already paid for it, hopefully this will happen sooner rather than later.

On my 4S everything works now. Very sleek!

Updated to 1.0.3-3 and it now works on iPhone 4.
Some issues still:
- If the Music Controls have been displayed, and thereafter stopped and the app closed (I used TuneInRadio to test), they clear from the lockscreen but the notification 'area' doesn't return to full height. Requires a respring to fix.
- If the Control Centre is pulled up on the lockscreen, after hiding the clock/date disappears. Unlocking and Relocking seems to fix.
I have emailed these bugs to the developer.
here is the bug list from the developer:
Bug to-do list:
• Notification List not opening to application from first notification
• iPhone 5S display disappearing after update
• Hiding Camera Grabber disabling function to camera
• Better color picker for the labels

Installed the "update" today - which promptly caused the thing to not work at all.
And I can't go back to the last version which worked because Cydia doesn't allow it.
What a ripoff

After update big empty useless space under the clock. Moves my calendar for lockscreen into my weather widget. Messy!
Wish I have not updated.

Switching on 'Notification Changes in the SubtleLock settings fixed this for me. Im also using 'Calendar for Lockscreen'.
What Weather widget are you using?
