Yes. And it also depends on needs:
Android os - openness of oS, larger screens
Apple iOS - elegance/best GUI, less fragmentation in product line, cohesion of whole "i" Life.
PC's - more business software
Macs - more --- coolness --, better graphics and music software written for OSHere to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

But this debate is an old and tired one.
Still my main point stands.. You choose OS based on what each does best. And sometimes on price. Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

Let me first state that I am entrenched in the Apple Eco system with an iphone 5S, an Ipad, Macbook pro and a Mac mini. However, one has to be realistic about what is happening with market share in the smartphone market. All the facts state that Android is growing and IOS is shrinking. The attached article for example show that over 80 percent of phones sold last quarter were Android, Apple share was only 12 percent. There is a lot of information out there confirming this.

This is a worldwide view not a US view and is from Gartner a well respected research firm.
Apple share of the Tablet market is also being continuously eroded it has dropped from over 80 percent to about 50 percent in a very short time. This is not surprising with the large number of Cheap tablets coming onto the market recently.
There is a place for both Android and Apple in the future and the competition will hopefully keep Apple focused.
