iOS 7-style Application Icon for Remote App Spotted in iTunes Ahead of Expected Update
While Apple may have updated a ton of their iOS applications to take advantage of the new interface in iOS 7, there are still plenty of Apple’s iOS applications that haven’t been updated to take advantage of the new mobile operating system just yet. One of those iOS applications is the iTunes Remote application.
Apple’s iTunes Remote application for iOS may not have been updated yet, but 9to5Mac has discovered a small gem inside of the latest version of iTunes (shown above). It appears to be an updated iTunes Remote application icon. The design of the application icon takes on the flatter characteristics that we can expect from Apple for iOS 7.
Notably, Apple’s iOS 7-style Find My iPhone application icon was leaked ahead of the Find My iPhone for iOS 7 release when Apple made the application icon available in the beta version of iCloud.com. Apple’s iWork and iLife 2013 application icons for iOS were also leaked ahead of the actual application updates. We take into consideration that the Remote application icon above may be similar in these patterns.
When updated, the iTunes Remote application will have much more than just a new application icon, but also a refreshed application interface as a whole. The interface is expected to take on Apple’s classic white iOS 7 background, along with the taller navigation bar, and new keyboard style, among other changes in iOS 7.
