Weekly Tweak Recap October 7 - October 13
Just in case you've missed out on the new jailbreak tweaks Cydia has seen, this recap will highlight all of the the jailbreak tweaks we've shown you this week. These are in no specific order.
1. Simple Mode – $1.99
Simple Mode is a new jailbreak tweak that puts your top five most-used applications on the lock screen for quick access. The interface can be easily collapsed or expanded by tapping on the arrow button on the lock screen. You can configure applications to stick on the lock screen, you can configure applications to never show up on the lock screen, or you can just leave the tweak to decide what five applications you use the most and those will show up on the lock screen. You can read more about Simple Mode at this link.
2. Jellyboard – 99¢
Jellyboard is a new tweak that enhances the iOS keyboard with new features for power users. That includes making it easier to select text, capitalize text, delete text, and much more. You will be able to configure eight different actions with eight different invoking methods. This tweak will come in handy for those that type a lot on their iOS devices and want an easier way of getting around the large bodies of text without using Apple’s magnifying glass, which isn’t always very quick. You can read more about Jellyboard at this link.
3. PushPrivacy – FREE
PushPrivacy is a new free jailbreak tweak that hides your push notification content from the lock screen. You’ll still get a notification saying that someone has notified you of something, but you won’t be able to see the content of the notifications until you unlock your device. This tweak helps keep people that might pick up your phone from the table from peeking into your notification preview on the lock screen. You can read more about PushPrivacy at this link.
4. CamVolZoom – FREE
CamVolZoom is a new free jailbreak tweak that lets you utilize the iOS device’s volume buttons as zoom buttons in the Camera application rather than shutter buttons. You can read more about CamVolZoom at this link.
