The folks over at ZDNet are reporting that iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S devices that are brought in Hong Kong will not be supported by the Apple warranty for China. It appears that the model numbers for said devices sold in Hong Kong are different than those sold in China, which allows employees to differentiate the source location of the device and excludes them from being included in the warranty.

For those of you who didnít know, the prices in Hong Kong are lower than the prices in China, which may be why Apple has made a change in their service warranty. Ultimately, the potential service and warranty problem will not affect where Chinese consumers purchase their new iPhones. That being said, the information came through an employee at a Shanghai Apple store and the original source is from a NetEase report.
