Supposed Bug in iOS 7 Periodically Logs Users Out of Certain Popular Apps
As if all the security issues weren’t enough, there seems to be an apparent bug in iOS 7’s Background App Refresh implementation. The bug is causing users of certain third-party apps to be kicked out of login sessions, forcing them to re-enter their credentials every few hours. It’s unknown as of right now what exactly is causing the seemingly random logouts, though the folks over at The Verge report that app developers have narrowed down the culprit to a mechanism in Background App Refresh.
Out of the many apps that have been affected by the bug, Mailbox was “in crisis mode” to find a solution but was unable to rectify the situation, saying Apple’s Background App Refresh is the root cause of the issue. Consequently, the developers submitted an updated version of the app disabling access to the feature. Other apps that required repeated log-ins include Paypal and Snapchat but other popular apps such as Facebook curiously remain unaffected by the purported bug.
For those of you who didn’t know, Background App Refresh, being one of the highlights of Apple’s iOS 7, allows apps to receive dynamic updates without running in the foreground. The feature is extremely useful when using time-sensitive apps such as Mailbox, or others that don’t support push notifications. Those of you who are experiencing continuous logouts can simply turn off global Background App Refresh in Settings and if certain apps appear to be working, you can toggle the feature on a per-app basis to help resolve the issue.
Have you experienced the bug? If so, share your experience below!

Wouldn't you think Facebook would've reported this during the beta stages? I know it's not a problem with them, but it's a problem that deals with their product. They're a big enough company that apple would have to listen to and couldn't ignore.

YES! Kinda disappointed I upgraded cz now there might be jailbreak for 6.1.3 =(
BUT I'm still satisfied with iOS7 cz it fixes brightness on 4S to a satisfactory level, plus runs so smooth, CMON 7.0.1

2: turn on reduce motion in accessibility settings
4: I don't use safari so can't comment
5: you have that many notes?
6: you must be playing some serious pocket pool. You would have to hit the home or sleep button and then slide a finger across the screen. Stop playing with yourself.

On my iPad4 wi-fi:
- location services not working (and I mean not working, at all! Anywhere!)
- when typing an app search on app store, the name that I typed appears on all parts of the store (featured, top charts, genius, updates... Everywhere!!!)
- sluggish as hell!
- sound on speaker never changes, regardless if I put in min or max sound!
- when setting VPN parameters, crashes Settings immediatly
- and the list goes on and on...
Apple, thanks for giving me am Android!!!!!

I see a lot of you saying you updated/upgraded. In my experience any older devices which are say running 6.x which then just OTA Update or iTunes Update to 7.x will have many, many issues. Best bet for any device capable of running iOS 7 on which it didn't come pre-installed is to restore. Jailbroken or not the best thing when moving to a newer iOS is to wipe the device and restore your data, but sometimes that can cause issues too especially if your previous iOS was jailbroken and you restore that backup data to a not yet jailbroken iOS.
Either way something always gets messed up.
