Default Apple Will Offer Docking Solutions Once Again With iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C

When Apple unveiled the iPhone 5 and its new Lightning Connector last year, one thing they stopped producing was a docking solution. It was unfortunate because so many people used Apple’s docking solution, and the lack of a solution gave third-party companies a chance to exploit the problem to make money. Apple appears, however, to be re-claiming that territory.

As it would appear from the accessory page on Apple's Store Web site, Apple will once again be offering a docking solution for users, starting with the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, which also take advantage of Apple’s Lightning Connector.

The dock will allow the user to plug in their iPhone on their desk and have it standing upright. This is perfect for watching videos, having FaceTime calls, or just for keeping it out of the way when it’s charging.

Notably, the iPhone 5S version of the dock is also compatible with the iPhone 5. The iPhone 5C dock, on the other hand, is designed specifically for the iPhone 5C.

Both docks are $29 each and can be ordered from Apple's Web site.

Looks very similar to the Chinese knockoffs that have been floating around for a few months

Don't agree that they are perfect for watching video while in portrait mode, landscape works far better for video
