'Glassic' Adds Transparency, Colors, Filters, and More to Your Keyboard
Glassic by iOS developer Joel Einbinder is an interesting new jailbreak tweak that will allow you to change the style and appearance of your keyboard in iOS.
As the name implies, the tweak can make your keyboard glassy-looking, as shown above. This includes adding properties to your keyboard such as transparency, colors, and even filters and customizing them to your liking.
Glassic goes into much more detail than other basic keyboard tweaks or themes. It’s dynamic in the fact that your keyboard will always look different depending on what’s behind it because of the transparent properties. After installing the tweak, you will be able to configure the tweak's various options in the preferences pane, which is located in the Settings application:
In this preferences pane, you will first see a Text field labeled “Test.” Here, you will be able to test the appearance of the keyboard every time you make changes to the settings in this preferences pane. All changes are instant and do not require a respring.
The first section of options has to do with keyboard filters. You can enable or disable the filters on demand, as well as pick the filter that you want to use. There is also a Refresh Periodically option that will force the filter to refresh every so often to dynamically change to the current conditions of the keyboard and everything behind it. The list of filters you have to choose from includes:
- Polka dot
Below that, you’ll find options for changing the color hue of the keyboard via a slider. You can also choose to have the keyboard adopt the color of its surroundings rather than adopting a manual color that you set. There is also a transparency slider that can be used to select how transparent or solid the keyboard appears over the background.
To save battery life, filters will only be refreshed after a number of seconds rather than in real time. It's a little unfortunate, but at the same time no one likes poor battery life, so this is probably a good thing.
With all of these options at hand, you have the potential to have one really awesome keyboard on your iOS device. If you want to give the tweak a try, you'll find it in Cydia's BigBoss repository for just $1.
Note: If you use Color Keyboard, Glassic is not yet compatible. An update has been submitted that is expected to add even more compatibility with additional keyboard tweaks.
Requirements: iOS 6.0+

This sounds pretty fine tweak! There is very little competition with keyboard theming. It's pretty much Color Keyboard or nothing, and the author doesn't really update it any longer.
The keyboard tweak of my dreams would be one that auto-generated the keyboard from the 20 or so images that comprise all the button variations, that way artists can create custom keyboards with ease.

I had an iPad keyboard tweak idea to add a half height key row above the keyboard like on a Mac keyboard with media keys, brightness and volume. Some apps add their own keys but I would want these to look like they are part of the original keyboard.
Some one please take my idea and make it a reality. I don't know how to code it.

Why does a tweak like this require iOS 6.0+? ...this needs to be made compatible with 5.1.1
