Default 'AutoOK' Unlocks Your iOS Device Automatically After You Enter Your Text Passcode

Have you ever noticed how when you enter a numeric passcode on the lock screen of your iOS device, the device unlocks itself automatically? Apple doesnít do the same thing for the text-based passcode. After you enter what you think is the passcode, you must then tap on the OK button before iOS checks to see if itís correct or not.

A new free jailbreak tweak dubbed AutoOK by iOS developer Atlas Wegman changes this. After installing the tweak and configuring it to work with your text-based passcode, your iOS device will unlock for you automatically after you enter the string of text that is your passcode. You wonít have to tap on the OK button, and the unlock process feels just like the process that happens when you enter a numeric passcode in iOS.

From the tweak's preferences pane in the Settings application, you can enter your text passcode in the text field and then enable the jailbreak tweak for it to work properly:

If you want to give AutoOK a try, it's available in Cydia's BigBoss repository at no cost. The tweak is only useful for text-based passcodes and has nothing to offer for users that use a numeric passcode.

    Name: AutoOK
    Price: FREE
    Version: 0.0.1-71
Requirements: You must set a text-based (non-simple) passcode
    Repo: BigBoss
    Developer: Atlas Wegman

This is also really helpful for anyone that uses Microsoft Outlook for work emails on their iphone and has to put in a 5 digit code plus press "OK" to unlock their phone.
