Default 'VideoPace' Lets You Play Videos at Any Speed You Want

Just because a video is five minutes long doesnít mean that you need to spend five minutes to watch the whole thing. At least not with a new free jailbreak tweak called VideoPace by iOS developer Ryan Petrich.

With VideoPace, you will be able to choose the pace of videos in many different iOS applications like YouTube, Videos, and more just like you can in the iTunes U application. With this feature in the palm of your hand, you can choose to have videos play faster, or even slower than they normally would.

VideoPace adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure the pace of playing videos in iOS:

Under the Factor cell, you will be able to have videos play at any of the following rates:

    • 50% slower
    • 40% slower
    • 30% slower
    • 20% slower
    • 10% slower
    • Normal speed
    • 10% faster
    • 20% faster
    • 30% faster
    • 40% faster
    • 50% faster
    • 75% faster
    • 100% faster

VideoPace works in several different video-playing applications, both stock and from the App Store. The tweak is also compatible with both iOS 5 and iOS 6 devices, up until the latest jailbreakable firmware, which is iOS 6.1.2. If you would like to give it a try, you can download it for free from Cydia's BigBoss repository.

While you're in the market for jailbreak tweaks that improve your video-playing experience in iOS, don't forget to check out Ryan Petrich's VideoPane jailbreak tweak, which allows you to watch videos and perform other tasks at the same exact time!

One should be able to change the speed with a slide bar with the percentages listed on it, while watching the video with out having to go to settings and then coming back to the video.

    And thatís my 2 cents.

It doesn't work for videos that you play via iFile

This would make it worth downloading.
