Apple Rumored to be Working on Development Center in Taiwan for Future iPhones
Apple is currently rumored to be preparing to open a new iPhone engineering development team in Taipei, Taiwan and will supposedly begin hiring for the facility starting in September. The details emerge from an alleged internal communications document detailed by the folks over at VR-Zone, claiming that the company is currently in the recruiting stage for a new engineering development team in Taiwan. According to the report, the group is said to be work on “the next generation of iPhone product development.”
The Cupertino California company is said to be seeking experienced and junior-level engineers as well as personnel for management positions. The company is said to be looking to discretely hire through word of mouth rather than formally advertising for the alleged new jobs as well.
If the info turns out to be true, the new team could be related to Apple’s apparent agreement with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. As of right now, Samsung is the sole provider of custom A-series chips to Apple but it’s been reported that the company has inked a deal with TSMC to start building chips for iPhones and iPads starting in 2014.
We’ll have to see if this turns out to be true and how it affects Apple in the long run.

Every single leak comes from Asia, yet Apple builds a new HQ there? Those people live in poverty, what do they care about whether the newest iPhone is a secret? They would gladly sell all they know for 30 cents, the equivalent of what, 30,000 yen or whatever currency they use.

When will they realize the money they save overseas can be used here in the states for creating jobs and giving the company much more respect. If any one can start a revolution in kick starting jobs back to the USA, Apple would be the perfect example.
