Default How to Unlock Your iOS Device With a Virtual Game Controller Sequence

Here’s an interesting jailbreak tweak. Control Unlocker by iOS developer Stevie Hetelekides gives you a virtual old-school game controller on the lock screen that you can use to unlock your iOS device.

Shown above, the virtual game controller gives you an A and a B button, as well as a thumb pad that gives you Left, Right, Up, and Down controls.

After installing the tweak, your default unlock pattern will be to press A, B, A, B in that order. After doing so, your device will unlock. You can then head over to the Settings application to customize the tweak some more:

From the preferences pane, you will be able to enable or disable the tweak on demand, as well as choose a sequence for unlocking your iOS device, and choosing a custom text string that you want to appear on the controller.

To set a new sequence for unlocking your iOS device, just tap on the Clear Sequence button to clear the existing sequence, and then start pressing buttons on the controller to set a new sequence. Be sure to use a sequence that you will remember.

If you would like to give Control Unlocker a spin, it's available in Cydia's BigBoss repository for free. The tweak has only been tested on iOS 6 iPhones and iPod touches.

    Name: Control Unlocker
    Price: FREE
    Version: 0.0.1-147
Requirements: iPhone or iPod touch running iOS 6.0+
    Repo: BigBoss
    Developer: Stevie Hetelekides
    Editor's Rating:  5/5

Really cool. But I was thinking unlock.... Not unlock. Lol

...so on my iPhone 5 it just adds an extra lock. It's still asking for the regular passcode. Hope this bug gets fixed

The code was first used in the 1986 release of Gradius for the Nintendo Entertainment System[3] but was popularized among North American players in the NES version of Contra, for which it was also dubbed both the "Contra Code" and "30 Lives Code" <--straight from the "most reliable reference source" Wikipedia LOL

Contra - Only the best NES game ever. =)

I wish I still remember the one for TMNT 3. Where it allowed you to choose how many lives and what level to start on.

I use it for fmf and find my iPhone so I don't have to login each time. Plus, is the controller supposed to come up any other time than when the pass code comes up? Cuz mine doesn't...
I'm using atom for my lock screen already...maybe that has to do with it
