If you take advantage of SpotLight and you want to simplify your numerous search results when you use it, then a new jailbreak tweak called SearchCollapse by iOS developer EDA Tweaks may be worth checking out.

As shown above, SearchCollapse allows the user to easily collapse search result sections in the SpotLight search results. In the event that a search via SpotLight leaves you with many search results, the ability to collapse unneeded search results will make it easier to find what you’re looking for.

To collapse a search result using the tweak, you can tap anywhere in the left margin of the search results, as indicated above. When you tap, you’ll see an animation of the section being collapsed. That section will then take up less of your precious screen space while looking for something via SpotLight. Tapping and holding on the left margin will actually open the search result.

You will find a preferences pane in the Settings application after installing the tweak; however, you will find the name of the preferences pane to be SearchLoader instead of SearchCollapse. Here, you will be able to play with a few options, such as the ability to have all search results collapsed by default:

SearchCollapse is available in Cydia’s BigBoss repository for 99¢ if you would be interested in giving it a shot. SearchLoader will also be installed when you install SearchCollapse, as it is a necessary dependency. when you purchase SearchCollapse, you will get 99¢ off of SearchAmplius, also in Cydia's BigBoss repository. Search Collapse is compatible with iOS 6.0 and later.
