Default 'NoVIP' Removes the VIP Inbox from the Mail App

For those of you that donít take advantage of the VIP mailbox feature in iOS 6, you can now get rid of that folder from the Mail application completely to eliminate clutter with a new free jailbreak tweak called NoVIP by iOS developer magn2o.

NoVIP removes the VIP folder from all views in the Mail application, as shown above. The VIP folder was intended to make it easier to read E-mails from people that you find more important than others, but not everyone categorizes E-mails that way, so it was interesting to see that Apple didn't make the feature optional based on people's needs.

You will still be able to access all of your other E-mail folders from the Mail application even though your VIP folder will now be gone.

If you want to give NoVIP a try to get rid of the extra clutter in the Mail application, you will find NoVIP in Cydia's ModMyi repository for free. NoVIP doesn't come with any options to configure and requires iOS 6.0 or later to install.

Or for people for whom every work related email is VIP.

Believe it or not, it's pronounced 'magnus'. Why? Because the name 'Magnus' is taken everywhere. So, being a gear head, I opted for magn2o -- N2O being the chemical composition of Nitrous Oxide. A major manufacturer of automotive nitrous oxide systems is "N.O.S." which is commonly (yet incorrectly) pronounced as a word, "Nos". So, as a play on that 'magn2o' or 'magNOS' was born.

Yes, I realize that no one but me would probably ever get that.. But, hey, what's in a name anyway?

    Hi magn2o!

Thanks for this tweak! I was wondering if it was possible to do the same with the "All inboxes" and "Flags" item, to have only account inboxes?
    Thanks again
