'No Page Bounce' Eliminates the Rubber Band Effect on the Home Screen
When you reach the end of the home screen and then try to continue scrolling, iOS gives you a ‘rubber band’ effect and then bounces back to the last page of the home screen. This effect is meant to symbolize that you’ve reached the end of all your home screen pages and that there is nowhere else to go other than the other way.
A new free jailbreak tweak called No Page Bounce by iOS developer developersBliss removes this effect from the home screen so that when you try to scroll further after reaching the last page, you don’t bounce back to the last page, but rather, nothing happens.
For users of the popular anti-SpotLight jailbreak tweak knows as NoSpot, this jailbreak tweak will make the opposite end of the home screen pages react the same way by not offering any slack when trying to scroll beyond the home screen limits. The tweak was basically made just for NoSpot users so that things would feel symmetrical for the SpotLight end of the home screen pages and the last page end of the home screen pages.
No Page Bounce is compatible with iOS 4 and later and doesn't effect any applications in iOS. The developer notes that the tweak is incompatible with just about any jailbreak tweaks that effect the "Pull to Refresh" feature in iOS. If you would like to give the tweak a try, it's available in Cydia's BigBoss repository for no cost. It doesn't have any options to configure.
