Default Twitter for iOS Updated With Improved Tweet Composer, Wider Timelines, More

Twitter has issued an update to their iOS application Wednesday afternoon with several improvements that will help make the overall user experience better, faster, and make the user interface more responsive and usable. Today's update brings the application to version 5.7.

Twitter 5.7 brings users an improved Tweet composer, which is cleaner and more informative. Users that use the Tweet composer to attach pictures will be able to see a preview of the Tweet with the picture in it. The buttons at the bottom let you take a picture, choose a picture, or add your location to the Tweet:

In addition, Twitter 5.7 brings a better timeline all around for users. It has been modified to be wider, without the borders at the left and right of the display. The new interface gives users more of a ‘full-screen’ experience rather than looking into a limited window:

In addition, version 5.7 adds a new feature that will alert you when your friends join Twitter. You will receive a notification and you will be able to easily follow your friends. Other improvements in the application are basically under the hood and improve the overall stability of the application.

The update for Twitter can be downloaded by existing users by visiting the Updates tab in the App Store. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Twitter for iOS for free via this App Store link.

I LOVE the new update & the adding of Videos makes it more simple to post, they limited it to say ..150 words instead of 140.
