Default 'Torch for Velox' Adds Flashlight Functionality to Velox

Last week, we showed you Velox, a jailbreak tweak by Apex Tweaks, which allows you to actually use your applications right from the home screen without having to open them. While many applications were supported out of the box, not all of them were supported. The good news is third-party developers have the ability to create their own plugins for Velox to make it do more, such as one called Torch for Velox by iOS developer ravirajm.

Torch for Velox is an add-on for Velox that gives flashlight functionality to nine different App Store flashlight applications – the Cydia description notes that the eight most popular flashlight applications in the App Store are supported.

When you swipe up or down on the flashlight application of your choice, a button will appear in a folder-like interface allowing you to toggle the flashlight feature. The text is white when the flashlight is off, but turns yellow when the flashlight is on.

Torch for Velox requires that you have the Velox jailbreak tweak installed in order to take advantage of the add-on. The add-on itself is free, although the Velox jailbreak tweak is $1.99. The add-on doesn’t have any options to configure. You’ll find it for free in Cydia’s ModMyi repository if you want to give it a try!

I agree jailbreak tweaks are there to fill a specific gap the stock iPhone experience would have left open. But just being able to to sth. doesn't mean there is a necessity for it. The standard velox settings folder already has a flashlight toggle. Now tell me, why this? *cry*

I'm surprised it does not cost any money.
