'Yahoo! Weather is Better' Makes Yahoo's New Weather App the Default Weather App
In the middle of April, Yahoo! launched a free standalone Yahoo! Weather application in the iOS App Store. It was a huge success due to the beauty of the user interface and large amount of useful information it offers. To this day, the application continues to keep a solid five-star rating in the App Store.
If you agree that the Yahoo! Weather application for iOS is a step above Apple’s stock iOS Weather application, then you can make it your default Weather application with a new free jailbreak tweak called Yahoo! Weather is Better by iOS developer Jacob Caraballo.
After you install the tweak, you will be able to re-route the Weather application to open the Yahoo Weather application. In other words, you can tap on Apple’s Weather application icon on the home screen, and the Yahoo! Weather application will open. This is especially useful for those that like the Yahoo! Weather application itself, but don’t like the application icon. It’s also a nice way to keep Apple’s iPhone looking iPhone-like, but while still having the benefits of the better Weather application.
The tweak can also re-route the Notification Center widget to launch the Yahoo! Weather application instead of Apple’s Weather application:
Yahoo! Weather is Better adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can adjust a few options:
You will be able to enable and disable the entire tweak on demand, as well as enable or disable the individual features. You can choose to enable or disable re-routing the application icon and choose to enable or disable re-routing the Notification Center widget.
The tweak is very seamless, and you'll hardly even know a jailbreak tweak is re-routing your Yahoo! Weather application. For best results, we recommend hiding the Yahoo! Weather application icon from the home screen after re-routing your stock Weather application icon to open Yahoo!'s Weather application instead.
If you want to use the Yahoo! Weather application as your default Weather application, you will find Yahoo! Weather is Better in Cydia’s BigBoss repository right now for free!

I've been using "openother" to have the stock weather icon open up yahoo weather & "poof" to hide the yahoo icon...

For those having trouble getting it to reroute, make sure to close the stock weather app in the multitasking tray. Then toggle all of the settings a few times (two times each did it for me).

Same. After first installing it, it still launched the original Yahoo Weather app. Then, after toggling the settings ON/OFF/ON again, it worked thereafter.
BTW - I have practically my whole phone rerouted now LOL.
Default Maps - Google Maps
Default Browser - Chrome
Default Weather - New Yahoo Weather
I love my JB iPhone

I got it to work by toggling every switch to off in the settings then respringing. Then toggling all on again and respring. Hope it helps!
