Speedtest.net 3.0 for iOS Released With iPhone 5 Support, New Interface, More
It sure has been a while since the iPhone 5 launch, and Ookla has promised iPhone 5 support for their Speedtest.net app for several months now. For those waiting, good news has arrived; Ookla has finally delivered the goods.
Speedtest.net 3.0 is now available in the iOS App Store and not only does it add full iPhone 5 support, but the interface has completely changed. You'll notice the redesigned speedometer and information design, which from a first glace seems a tad awkward from what we're used to, but at the same time the new interface is very easy to get used to.
From the previous results screen, users can now sort their results by type, date, download speed, upload speed, or ping. Users can also tap on the settings button at the top right to either delete all results, or e-mail all results.
For the first time, Speedtest.net finally lets you buy out their advertisements as an in-app purchase for 99Ę. Formerly, the Speedtest.net app was freeware and didnít come with a way to remove the ads that were displayed on the interface. At the end of the day, this new buy-out feature is a great option for users that really dislike ads.
Currently, Speedtest.net 3.0 only supports English, however support for other languages will be coming soon in an update. If you have Speedtest.net on your iOS device already, you can grab the update from the Updates tab in the App Store, or you can download the application for free from this link.

Where are all of you guys from!
Highest I've ever had was 16mbps on wifi and 11mbps on cellular 3G although in UK EE Class that speed at LTE.

best I've done on LTE (Verizon) is just over 32 down and just over 12 up. but that's faster than my home wifi.

I got the update yesterday but hadn't checked it out. Glad they upped the speedometer because my WiFi is usually over 30 mbps so it goes off the chart. lol
